WAMY Philippines, through its director Aleem Monib Sarangani, wishes to extend its heartfelt condolences to the entire Bangsamoro people, particularly the family and relatives of the late MILF Vice Chairman Aleem Abdulaziz Mimbantas,  who  died  by cardiac arrest last May 3  while enroute for home after attending the historic meeting with President Akihiko Tanaka, President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), at Camp Darapanan in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao last May 1, 2012.

Aleem Mimbantas was one of the pioneering leaders of the MILF who devoted and offered his entire life to the cause of Bangsamoro struggle for freedom and right to self-determination.

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raajioon. May the Almighty Allah forgives all his sins and let him enter Jannah without any delay.

Cheering one’s great accomplishment has become a ritual obligation of various social, cultural and academic affairs. Thus, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth in the Philippines (WAMY Phil.) as one of the devotees of having a better education for Muslim youth is proudly conveying its warmest congratulations to its scholars, who just graduated this year 2012 either in secondary or tertiary level with outstanding achievements.

WAMY Philippines enthused the graduates especially its scholars with a notable dictum “Quitter never wins and winner never quits.” It is a traditional maxim that everyone must get acquainted with while on a journey to reach a specific goals in life. There are ambitious people who are not conscious that “perseverance” is the key to success and they think they can survive all challenges coming along their ways because they are rich and belong to well-known families. But when they faced with several problems, they would easily stumble and give up as a result of unconscious of their natural weaknesses or limitations. If one has to survive, he/she must accept and recognize the reality of the said adage.

The administration of WAMY Philippines headed by Alim Monib M. Sarangani is expressing its never-ending joy and happiness as graduates reap years of sacrifices they have exerted to hit impediments on their ways to the journey to  success. Likewise, thanks and gratitude are credited to the guardians, parents, supporters and everyone, who extended a helping hand either financial or moral form that contributed to the realization of the graduates’ goals.

WAMY Philippines advises them to continually struggle to the next juncture of life sacrifice as seeking knowledge is a never ending process and as such, needs firm self-determination. The inauguration was attended by Alim Monib M. Sarangani, the Excecutive Director of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth, Philippines (WAMY-Phil.), Alim Haris Abdul Manan Macauyag, Alim Hamad Solaiman and some of the newly reverted to Islam like Mr. Gullermo Tejero. Likewise, some of the prominent personalities in that area have attended like Engr. Ahmad Macasundig, Atty. Arthur H. Ali, Shiekh Daud Pangandamun and most male jamah in that masjid.

The presence of these professionals in both western and Islamic knowledge made the celebration more vibrant and was inspired by the notable lecture of Director Monib M. Sarangani on the topic “The inevitable blessings receive by putting up or building a masjid of any kind”.

Residents of that specific area especially those who have conviction to Allah were so much excited by saying repeatedly Alhamdulillah!!! The feeling of isolation in performing prayer at home has been turned into ecstasy and rapture with the existence of this masjid as it served not only a place for worshipping Allah but learning center, where seekers of Islamic teachings can get together. In other words, the usual habit of praying at home, which is violation for male side has been diverted to masjid instead and children and unlearned from among the residents will get use to it as they constantly hear and observe from Jamah.

In conclusion, residents of that area felt so happy as they understood that the masjid plays a vital role in obtaining deeper understanding of Islamic teachings and put them into practice in daily life.

It was the 18th of February 2012 (Saturday) in which the Islamic Lecture for women students resumed with an extreme stillness and calm among participants therein. Henceforth, Sheikh Alibsar Salih, a missionary from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (K.S.A.) were ingratiatingly delivered his opening and welcome remarks followed by Allem Abdul Kadir Alawi, a guest speaker and a prominent lecturer who were used as a speaker all the time in anywhere else Islamic program. Though sound of silence occurred because spectators or women’s audience impressed and stimulated the bizarre or unusual speech coming from the culled or chosen international speaker. That is why even the people around, as the passers-by from its venue and rendezvous heard the sound echoes from him may not continue walking. Nevertheless, stop, look and listen, don’t they? Imagine, A 100 participants as an audience is too big as a crowd. They need to have an entertainment that stimulate interest and captivate attention .

As we have just seen women attending the lectures were properly well behaved. We didn’t even witness or observe one of them talking with each other. Thus, shows that lecturer was well prepared with his lecture and they themselves focused a much attention ,knowing that they gained something through his lecture.

Besides, women therein were collaborated and united because they knew that whenever they go they have something to re-echo towards their friends and love ones.

We didn’t notice a pessimistic or negative attitude towards lecturer or a behavior that connotes against lecturers lecture. They were a kind of audience that never in their minds a grievous doubts and extreme aloofness. Notwithstanding, learned a lot on how to look any avenues of additional knowledge after the seminar forum ended.

Specifically Islamic lectures which in fact seldom among damsels or young women to listen and they are prepared in window shopping, sight-seeing and going with their friends, kith and kin.

To that February 18 Islamic lecture, everyone was applauded. Since the Implementers Fatimah Macanyag, Gunda Badria Basir, Hanna Yahya Mamarinta and Sadika Lumondot were there attending from the start of the program until the very end. Likewise, with the other coordinating groups supporting or assisting the program. All of them were in avant-garde or in onslaught, thrilled and properly motivated.

The program was interesting because lecturer was prepared and ready to accept questions and interrogations that satisfy audiences intentions, missions, visions and philosophies of life which have been kept and in a clandestine.

I will suggest a weekly seminar. Neither the intermittent one so that Muslim ladies can vouch with themselves, someday, somehow if there are other seminars meet and encounter and they are ready to supplement knowledge out from their quest and research regarding Islam.

I recommend the Duat to be equipped with the references in lieu with the program. So much so, knowledge obtains properly and should be manifested since knowledge is useless without putting into practice, it is just like a farm leave it unsown. But esprit-de-corps among the members of WAMY Philippines, as with the active and highly motivated groups will move into actions. They are prime source of knowledge and they must have aware on how to use it and share to others in a proper way possible. In this particular affair the lecturer should his expertise and well verse in his topic rendered so the listeners outside were eager to listen and participate yet, the said seminar was plainly for Muslim women.

Regarding the expected output is that Muslim women learned. They have added their knowledge and they can share to other women Muslim or non-Muslim women their role as Duat, and as a women. Their very contribution as they are play an important role. They are now responsible for other Muslim women who are not aware of Islamic teachings and they must have a weekly forum or a round table discussion on how women maintain even their regalia are there, but at least a Muslim women wears with modesty and private parts should be covered.

The expertise of by Aleem Abdul Kadir Alawi as a lecturer contributed a lot for the women in general and in particular. it augments growth and development of those who don’t have knowledge about Islam and it indemnify losses and weakness. Furthermore, It is our asset as a WAMY family and a Muslim having that kind of an odd and globally competent as a lecturer at the same time a guest speaker.

Therefore Islamic lectures for women must be supported and facilitated while there is time since tomorrow will be too late.

Thanks a lot for the efforts you have exerted. I know that not everyone who exerts is successful and blessed. At least we are also doing our best since God knows everything. Than never have tried at all.

Even the bible of the Christians and the a Hadith of the Muslims that states ” Man proposes and God disposes”, IN other sense, it is seldom for a man to acquire his longings or yearnings without exerting his effort leading to success. He must exercise his given talent and use his faculty of reasons by burning a lighted candles or magsunog siya ng kilay niya. Notwithstanding, failure comes in, despite of the struggles a man exerted is just because everyone is destined with what he supposes to attain and reaches for. And the only thing that negates is a sound duwaa or prayer that the said pessimistic thing will no longer happen.

If the said negative thing will happen so that’s the will of Allah. And that is the thing that we can’t  debate and argue. Yet, to accept the realities; you can’t disavow Allah’s given to you.

In the case of the passers for both SASE Examination as a preparation for the freshmen in College preferably in MSU and in Bar Examination in the Collegeof Lawwhich Atty. Norliza Mamukid and Atty. Nadzmah Ameril attained and reached the goal of success. Alhamdullillah!

On February 18, 2012, a simple ceremony was held in this small village for the final handover of the so called newly built Masjed Saud Al-Haqabanie. It was attended by some notable officials including Engr. Leninding Radia, Aleem Haris Abdul Manan and Aleem Hamad Solaiman. A cutting of ribbon was lead by Aleem Monib Sarangani, the Executive Director of WAMY-Philippines, whose office arranged for the building of the mosque.

The donors were said to have been inspired mainly by the hadith which reported that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever build a mosque for Allah – be it large or small – Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhî – and graded as good (hasan) by al-Albânî]

A mosque is the best of places. It is more blessed and virtuous than all other places. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The most beloved of places to Allah is the mosque, and the most detested of places to Allah is the marketplace.” [Sahîh Muslim]

The Women’s Department of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth in the Philippines has implemented the first Internal Quiz Bee for Primary Level pupils with a theme “Together we work to develop our pupils talents and skills on January 20-21 at Madrasah Abdul Aziz Al-Islamiah, Cadayonan, Marawi City and Madrasah Nur Al-Bara-em Al-Islamiahs, Marawi City.

The quiz bee was attended by almost 300 pupils range from Grade I to Grade IV level.

MSU-SASE is an evaluation test being held yearly to identify students, who are qualified for admission and scholarship in tertiary-level courses in MSU Campuses. Fourth year high school students of every secondary schools opting for admission in MSU have to take the above test.

In the most recent evaluation test, a young and brainy of the WAMY Scholars Hidayah Imam Sarangani of MSU-ISED got the Top One in SASE with a score of 158. Likewise, other WAMY scholars from Ibn Siena Integrated School and Al-Khawarizmi Science Laboratory School made a very good performance in the above test.

Thus, WAMY Philippines is very proud and happy for this excellent performance because they keep up their good academic status. Moreover, it is the first time for the history of WAMY Scholars in the Philippines to surpass above other examinees not only in the region but nationwide.

This made WAMY’s Administration more confident in their scholars as they sustain academically and as such look forward to extending more help in realizing their aims.

In fact, WAMY Scholars have made a believable proof not only to their sponsors but the entire people of the country that they deserved to be of recipients of scholarship grant.

It is hoped that this will become a motivating factor for the young Muslim students to multiply their efforts and make the same marvelous result in the future admission and scholarship test.
