Cagayan de Oro City- WAMY-Philippines Da’wah Department held a seminar-training titled “Ways of Improving Public relations” last June 28, 2011. The seminar-training was held to encourage Islamic Propagators in preparing and utilizing comprehensive strategies to improve their strengths on public relations.
The invited lecturer, Dr. Said Ahmad Asbahi of International Islamic Charitable Organization in Kuwait, presented the important concepts and strategies on improving public relations especially for the employees of charitable institutions. The majority of the session participants were very interested in the strategies presented which was based on the experiences by Dr. Asbahi. Most of the participants realized that there is something missing in the public relations of the charitable institutions in the Philippines.
Participation exceeded expectations and the capacity of the hall. Attendance went beyond planned and exercises worked well for a full day of very enthusiastic and interested audience. The feedback on the evaluation was also very good. Overall, the evaluation revealed that participants found it an inspiring session and appreciated both the materials and ideas presented and the opportunities to interact.
